We all want it: clear, beautiful, young-looking skin. Unfortunately, discoloration, acne or surgical scars, and uneven tone or texture are the reality for many of us. And, historically, treating those conditions to make way for beautiful, flawless skin involved invasive skincare treatments that required days of downtime.

Until now.

We’re happy to introduce DermaSweep. An exciting new skincare technology that promises clear, ageless skin without pain, long recovery timelines, or invasive procedures. Patients notice results after the first treatment, and lasting, pronounced results after just a few visits.

In this post, we’ll discuss everything you need to know about this innovative treatment, and how to decide if the treatment is right for you.

Let’s dive in.

What is DermaSweep?

DermaSweep is a non-invasive microdermabrasion treatment that provides targeted exfoliating and micro-resurfacing. The treatment also uses “patent-pending bristle treatment tips that gently lift away the top layer of skin and increase microcirculation.” In the process, the treatment also boosts collagen production, for visibly younger, tighter, more even skin.

By resurfacing the skin in the treatment area, this procedure promotes enhanced lymphatic drainage and oxygenates the entire treatment area. To boost results even further, the treatment delivers targeted infusions designed to resolve a host of specific skincare concerns.

What Problems Does DermaSweep Treat?

This treatment is a non-invasive and well-rounded skincare. While it improves skin’s overall tone and texture, it’s particularly well-suited for the following concerns:

Sun-damaged skin

The treatment can help erase sun spots, discoloration, redness, as well as other signs of excess sun exposure.

Melasma

Melasma is a condition that causes patches of brown discoloration on the skin. It is more common in women than men, and often arises during pregnancy. Fortunately, treatments can reduce the signs of melasma and also restore even skin tone.

Dull skin

By gently resurfacing skin, the treatment puts an end to dull skin and restores a youthful glow and vibrance to your appearance.

Aging skin

This treatment is particularly effective at reducing fine lines and wrinkles. This impact, combined with the fact that it is a painless and non-invasive treatment, makes it a popular option for anyone who wants to decrease the visible signs of aging.

Hyper-pigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is a skin condition that causes the skin to darken. While it’s usually harmless, it can cause distress for some individuals. This treatment can help correct hyperpigmentation and restore even skin tone.

Acne scars

Acne scars can persist long beyond youth. Fortunately, the treatment can help resolve acne scars and restore the smooth, flawless surface to your skin.

Shrinking enlarged pores

If you have enlarged pores, this treatment can help shrink and minimize the appearance of pores and create a clear and smooth skin surface.

Rough or uneven skin texture

Rough and uneven skin texture is a problem for many people. By lightly resurfacing skin and also injecting key nutrients into the skin, the treatment improves skin texture and tone. It’s also effective at removing surgical scars and restoring a youthful appearance.

Improving overall skin health

You don’t have to have skin concerns to enjoy the treatment! In fact, it’s great for improving and maintaining overall skin health and maintaining your youthful appearance.

Reducing early aging lines (brow lines, crow's feet, and smile lines)

Reduce the wear and tear of daily life with this new innovative treatment. This treatment is excellent for reducing signs of early aging and more.

As always, be sure to talk to your dermatologist about any skin concerns you may be facing. The team here at Laser Cosmetic Center will help you understand the root of your skin issues and identify the best and most effective treatment option for you.

Is DermaSweep right for me?

Deciding to undergo any cosmetic skincare procedure is an important decision, and it’s critical that you ensure the procedure is right for you.

With that in mind, here are a few indicators that the treatment might be a good choice:

You want a non-invasive treatment

Some treatments are much more invasive than others. A deep chemical peel, for example, causes the top layers of skin to peel away, resulting in days of tender, red skin and also mandatory downtime.

DermaSweep, on the other hand, uses a variable-level vacuum and advanced  treatment tips. As these treatment tips brush against the skin, they lift and remove the top layer of the skin. The result is smooth, revitalized skin, ample blood flow, and clean pores.

Plus, boosting blood flow to the skin’s surface encourages collagen production, which firms and tones the skin. Once the exfoliation phase is complete, the treatment delivers tailored infusions designed to target and resolve your unique skincare concerns.

The treatment is painless and there is no post-treatment downtime. Instead, your skin will feel slightly flushed and warm, which will fade within a few hours.

You want targeted nutrients

Derma Sweep treatments produce results by combining effective microdermabrasion treatment with SkinFusions. This treatment’s patented SkinFusions are available in the following 3 categories:

  • EpiFusions. EpiFusions target hard-to-resolve dermatological concerns like dull skin, dehydrated patches, and more.

  • PremiumFusions. PremiumFusions contain powerful active skincare ingredients like peptides, growth factors designed to reduce visible signs of aging, and also DNA repair enzymes to revitalize tired skin.

  • PeelFusions. PeelFusions mimic the benefits of a standard chemical peel, while also providing enhanced delivery of skincare ingredients. The result is faster toning and tightening, with less peeling and downtime than a traditional peel.

Your skincare provider will select the right mix of infusions to deliver the results you desire over the course of several treatments.

You want immediate results

In general, patients see results after their first treatment. More significant and longer-lasting results occur after about 3-6 treatments. We recommend spacing treatments 10-14 days apart for the best results.

You have healthy skin

This treatment is only recommended for people with healthy skin. This means you do not have diabetes, dermatitis, eczema, skin cancer, or other complicating conditions.

You also should avoid oral blood thinners, and should not have tattoos in the treatment area, since this will make the treatment less effective.

Anyone who has used Accutane in the past should be off the medication for 6 months before having microdermabrasion.
